What counts as a follow-up?
A follow-up is a message connected to a previous conversation, request, task, or next step that may require a response from a contact.
For example, a follow-up may be created when you ask a client for information, documents, a decision, a meeting time, or another response needed to keep the conversation moving.
Follow-ups may be connected to messages prepared by pipeMOTION™ or messages you send yourself.
Pending follow-ups
Pending follow-ups are messages that are scheduled but have not been sent yet.
Depending on your settings, you may be able to review, edit, approve, or reschedule a pending follow-up before it is sent.
Sent follow-ups
Sent follow-ups are follow-up messages that have already been delivered during the current week.
This helps you see which contacts have already received a follow-up, so you can avoid duplicate outreach and better understand recent communication activity.
When follow-ups stop
Follow-ups are designed to support timely communication without overwhelming your contacts.
If a contact replies, future follow-ups connected to that request or conversation may stop so you can review the response and decide what to do next.
When follow-ups are sent
Follow-ups are generally scheduled during standard daytime hours.
Some time-sensitive follow-ups, such as reminders connected to a specific deadline, may follow timing that is based on the deadline or task.
You can review your follow-up settings and available controls inside your pipeMOTION™ account.
How Follow-Ups This Week is different from nurturing
Follow-ups are connected to a specific conversation, request, task, or next step.
Nurturing is broader relationship communication designed to help you stay connected with your contact base over time.
In simple terms:
Follow-ups help you continue specific conversations.
Nurturing helps you maintain long-term relationships through helpful, value-focused communication.
You stay in control
Follow-Ups This Week helps you review and manage follow-up activity more clearly.
pipeMOTION™ helps organize the timing and context, but you remain in control of your communication settings, approvals, edits, and next steps.
